Version 7.15.0.0 of Flex Out Now with Bench Solution for ZF 9HP48

Flex now supports Bench solutions for ZF 9HP48 transmission units installed on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

Thanks to the newest software update, you can read and write Internal Flash and Internal EEPROM memories directly via the TCU connector. This ensures safer and more efficient operations, without the risk to damage the unit.

Moreover, with this new Bench protocol, it is possible to easily carry out restoring and cloning operations: in case of a damaged TCU, you can read its full content and transfer it on a working unit, shortening work times and ensuring reliable results.

Efficiency and Safety with KESS3

Work via OBD on Delphi DCM2.7AP ECUs installed on JCB machines powered by the 4.4-liter Diesel-Max engine, ensuring fast and secure access to vehicle data directly through the diagnostic port, without the need to remove the ECU, drastically reducing machine downtime.

Do you need deep-level recalibration? Operate in BOOT mode on Caterpillar and Perkins engines with Caterpillar A6E2, Caterpillar A6M12, Denso A6E10, and A6E11 ECUs, offering in-depth and effective recalibration that reveals all the details of the engine control electronics.

Download the latest version of Flex and program Continental M4C engine units in OBD Full, Bench, and Boot, enjoy the new solutions for Ducati, Husqvarna, and KTM.

These protocols allow you to read and write the whole content of the Flash memory, with virtualized EEPROM: you can now restore damaged units, writing the backup from a source unit to a destination unit in function.

Thanks to the newest release of Magicmotorsport (version 7.9.0.0), the list of motorcycles supported by Flex becomes more and more numerous, and as of today you can even modify performance of vehicles such as Ducati Hypermotard 950Husqvarna TC250, and KTM SX 300.

Remap Toyota and Lexus in “BENCH” mode

With KESS3, you can remap the Denso GEN IV R7F702002 V35A-FTS control units that manage the engine parameters of the latest Toyota and Lexus models equipped with the new Dynamic Force 3.4 V6 petrol engine. Models such as Tundra, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, and Lexus GX, LS, and LX will benefit from your intervention! OBD mode (SGW bypass) – Description:

The new SGW Bypass universal cable is necessary for identification, reading, and writing operations on Continental EMS314x and EMS316x engine units installed on Renault, Dacia, Nissan, and Mitsubishi vehicles: this cable allows programming without the need to remove the unit from the vehicle.

 

OBD mode (SGW bypass) – Connection procedure:

After connecting crocodile clips to the battery or a charger, and after finding CAN lines of the vehicle (follow the manual available in our softwares), you will need to connect the programmer to the female OBD port of the cable to proceed with programming.

 

Bench mode – Description:

The new SGW bypass universal cable allows you to program with Bench protocols connecting in Bench mode. Moreover, it will be possible to access the unit even if the vehicle is not in the workshop (since it is a bench connection, no SGW modules are present between the ECU and the programmer).

 

Bench mode – Connection procedure:

After connecting the crocodile clips to any charger, connect the pins to adapters included in the kit directly to the connector of the control unit, simply connect the programmer to the Female OBD port of the cable.

Through the eobd connection of kess3, alientech suite retrieves the list of (sae – society automotive engineers) error codes recorded during vehicle operation, helping mechanics and mechatronics easily identify potential faults and damages.

The dtc feature is now available with an active kess3 subscription.

Detection and Interpretation of DTCs

When connected to the control unit, KESS3 obtains the stored error codes.
The tool sends commands to the control unit to receive a detailed list of the DTCs present, quickly identifying the vehicle’s problems without the use of additional devices. This feature centralizes the diagnostic process, reducing the time needed to identify faults and increasing work efficiency.

Resetting DTCs

Afeter identifying the codes, it is possible to reset them, thereby eliminating warning lights and anomalies on the dashboard.
Clearing the fault is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of the vehicle. After performing mechanical repairs, this KESS3 feature allows for a DTC reset, ensuring comprehensive service.

Pre-Tuning and Post-Tuning Diagnostics

Assessment of risks and feasibility of modifications.
This feature allows you to preview and interpret error codes to prevent faults or malfunctions in the vehicle. Additionally, the same process can be performed after modifying the engine parameters with KESS3. In this case, the DTC feature helps identify any error codes that could appear after the tuning phase.



Special Functions

Special functions dedicated to specific vehicle models.

With this new update, connection modes for MSE6.0 and US6.0 engine units increase: as of today, in addition to the OBD protocol (released in version 6.56.0.0) you will be able to program in Bench, too.

Get access to the full content of control units installed on over 40 models of motorcycles, including Benelli and CF Moto, and elaborate the unit according to your needs. Thanks to this protocol, you can now restore a damaged ECU by reading the content of the original one and writing it on the working unit.
Please note: Both units need a voltage higher than 14V, thus the new DC/DC converter (FLX4.92) is necessary for programming.

Connecting to the diagnostic port of Porsche vehicles, you will have the possibility to program Bosch MG1CS047 engine units without the bother to remove the ECU from the vehicle: connect the OBD cable of Flex and download the virtual read from our database to unlock your unit.

With a guided and intuitive process, you can activate DynoDrive and use the function immediately: simply select the vehicle on which the test will be performed, set the necessary data for the calculation, and launch the test.

Calculation Accuracy
The accuracy and repeatability of performance calculation are guaranteed by the pairing of the technology that KESS3 uses for communication with the vehicle (via OBD) and GPS acquisition.

Thanks to this system, DynoDrive allows for precise calculation of the vehicle’s position throughout the test, recording both the acceleration and deceleration phases for precise calculation of the dissipated power as well.
Quick and Customized Parameter Selection
DynoDrive allows for customizing parameters to achieve calculation precision as close to reality as possible.

You can input vehicle data such as: vehicle and passengers’ mass (including any tools and luggage) and fuel level.

Additionally, you can choose how to conduct the test by setting the starting engine RPM (1500/2000 rpm) and the gear in which you wish to perform the test (3rd/4th), to make the best use of available space and work in complete safety. All power test operations must be carried out only on a closed circuit or on a road not open to the public.

Test Repeatability
With DynoDrive, you can repeat the test countless times, comparing the data from each individual test.
Despite atmospheric factors, such as external temperature, potentially influencing the test result, you can repeat the test under the same conditions, one after another.
This ensures the neutrality of the environmental factor: the data depend exclusively on the vehicle.
Data Comparison and Sharing
DynoDrive provides a downloadable and shareable report of torque and power data.

At the end of the test, the Dashboard automatically stores the torque and power values. In addition to numerical data, DynoDrive provides Cartesian graphs that can be compared by overlaying them to easily discern and compare curve differences at a glance. The software allows for comparing up to 3 tests simultaneously. To facilitate consultation, different colors and styles have been assigned to the curves of individual tests.

But that’s not all: the values along with the graphs recorded in Dashboard can be easily exported in a .PDF sheet, that can be shared with the customer to verify the effectiveness of the intervention or to meet their desires.

New Boot exclusive: Dacia Continental EMS3180 and EMS3181

A new exclusive on Flex to program in Bootloader: from now on, latest models of Dacia Spring Full Electric MY 2021-2023 have been added to the vehicle list.

This new protocol allows to access the whole content of Dacia Continental EMS3180 and EMS3181 Internal Flash and Internal EEPROM memories to improve vehicle’s autonomy and efficiency.

With this new update (version 6.26.0.0), it is also possible to fully restore a damaged ECU by transferring its content to a working ECU. You just need to attach both full backup files on Magicmotorsport Helpdesk by opening a technical support ticket to ask for password adaptation.

Version 6.22.0.0 out now

Bootloader mode for programming Delphi DCM6.2V engine ECUs installed on VAG group cars is now available: a new exclusive solution released on Flex.


The protocol allows to read and write the entire contents of the Flash memory (virtualized EEPROM) and to recalibrate the real maps of the control unit. Furthermore, this solution allows to restore in case of writing an incorrect Mod File (example: altered power class).


With the new update (version 6.22.0.0) it is also possible to carry out a complete restoration of the damaged ECU, transferring its contents to a working ECU.

Flex vehicles list extends with new FCA Group Mild Hybrid 2020 cars, that will from now on be supported in Full OBD.

Program in Bootloader mode the Marelli 9DF engine control units with hardware version HW002. Released a new software update of Flex (6.19.0.0) which allows access to the Flash and EEPROM memories content obtaining a complete backup of the ECUs.

Flex 6.16.0.0 is now ready

Magicmotorsport releases the Bench solution for reprogramming the new generation of Bosch MEVD17.2.G ECUs. The protocol allows reading and writing on ECU installed on BMW M2 CS and Competition vehicles.


A Flex world exclusive for cars equipped with the new anti-tuning guards, manufactured, or updated, from July 2020.

The latest Flex update (version 6.16.0.0) make possible to program ECUs directly in bench mode without having to unlock the ECU in Bootloader, just book this service here on our Helpdesk. 


And not only, remember that this is the first solution on the market for tuning on the BMW M2 CS and Competition.


The protocol allows full access to the ECU: the Flash and EEPROM memories can be entirely read and written as backup files for cloning and restoring the electronic unit.

OBD connection and Datalogger for Simos 19.6 on Flex

From today, thanks to the new version of Flex 6.15.0.0, every mechatronic will have the possibility to recalibrate the maps area of ​​VAG group sports cars equipped with the new Simos 19.6 ECUs, thus being able to customize and process numerous parameters for improving efficiency and performance.

The work mode via the OBD socket ensures rapid recognition of the ECU, even more avoiding having to remove and open the ECU to access the data contained in the maps area.

This solution, based on the software version identified during connection with the ECU, allows you to download the virtual reading file directly from our database. In addition, the protocol allows the writing of VAG software updates, with a simple click to select the desired version among those available.

Furthermore, with the latest Flex version, it will be possible to carry out data acquisition operations using the Datalogger function. Available for free to all full users (FLS0.5 M/S).

Note: If the virtual reading file is not present, it will be possible to change the version of the unit – again via OBD connection – by choosing a compatible update version.

Flex truck list keep growing with new supported vehicles. From now on, thanks to this update, come solutions to reprogram in Bench mode TRW EMS2.2 Gen2, EMS2.3 ed EMS2.4 ECUs equipped on Volvo and Renault heavy duty.

This new Bench protocol allows you to work without opening the ECU module, Flash and Eeprom complete reading and writing. The ECU is automatically identified upon connection and there is the possibility to make a complete backup of the unit with a simple click.

The connection routine is unique for all supported versions, Flex’ll recognize the correct ECU during the connection phase. You don’t need anymore, so, to find the model of the unity through the label to perform the correct linking.

The compatibility list of Flex is enhanced by the drop of many Toyota’s latest generation vehicle. 
The new firmware 6.9.0.0 made possible the programming of their engine control units in OBD and bench modes. The new solution supports virtual reading or real read, model by model this eventuality is recognize through Flex digital match.
Many powertrain configuration are supported, such as: 2.5 VVT-iE Hybrid, 2.0L VVT.iE, 2.4L D4-D, 2.8L D4-D and the newest 1.6 Turbo fitted on Yaris GR. The new functionality allow to work by OBD and Bench modes on DENSO equipped with R7F701202 ed R7F701216 microprocessor.

With the KESS3, Alientech has combined the KESSv2 and K-TAG tool in one tool, so you don’t have to purchase two separate tools to be able to use multiple read methods. The KESS3 is available from the 4th of April!

Magicmotorsport has released a new Flex update. With the latest version 6.5.0.0 bench mode programming on Bosch engine control units can be done safely and easily.

Supported ECUs include the BOSCH MG1CA007 and MG1CA920 which are installed on Indian 1.8 PowerPlus and Can-Am 0.9 Turbo X3 2019 respectively.

These ECUS control OM651 Diesel motors, produced from 2008 to 2020, initially produced to satisfy and anticipate the Euro 5 anti-pollution standards and to be ready for the Euro 6 standards.

We are talking about turbodiesel four-cylinder motors with third generation common rail technology. These motors have avant-garde solutions, like piezo-electric injectors, used until then only on a few other thrusters in the world. This technology allows an accurate and particularly fast Diesel dosage. This allows less waste, as well as lower carbon footprint.

Beside the 2.2L, the OM651 motor has been produced between the years 2011 and 2014, an 1.8L motor in two versions of power, respectively 80kW in the limited version, and 100k on the one at full power. From 2014 the motor was no longer produced, to leave space totally to the 2.2L version.

Thanks to Service Mode, so without opening the ECU, you can read, write, and clone the ECU Bosch EDC17CP10 and Delphi CRD3E.1, CRD3.40, CRD3.50 Mercedes-Benz.
