DTC FEATURE DETECTION AND RESET OF DTCS WITH KESS3
A new feature upgrade is now available on the alientech-branded reprogramming tool. latest updates and news from the alientech world!
The new “dtc” feature of kess3 allows you to view and reset dtcs in a car or motorcycle.
Through the eobd connection of kess3, alientech suite retrieves the list of (sae – society automotive engineers) error codes recorded during vehicle operation, helping mechanics and mechatronics easily identify potential faults and damages.

Detection and Interpretation of DTCs
When connected to the control unit, KESS3 obtains the stored error codes. The tool sends commands to the control unit to receive a detailed list of the DTCs present, quickly identifying the vehicle’s problems without the use of additional devices. This feature centralizes the diagnostic process, reducing the time needed to identify faults and increasing work efficiency.
Resetting DTCs
Afeter identifying the codes, it is possible to reset them, thereby eliminating warning lights and anomalies on the dashboard. Clearing the fault is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of the vehicle. After performing mechanical repairs, this KESS3 feature allows for a DTC reset, ensuring comprehensive service.

With this new update, connection modes for MSE6.0 and US6.0 engine units increase: as of today, in addition to the OBD protocol (released in version 6.56.0.0) you will be able to program in Bench, too.
Get access to the full content of control units installed on over 40 models of motorcycles, including Benelli and CF Moto, and elaborate the unit according to your needs. Thanks to this protocol, you can now restore a damaged ECU by reading the content of the original one and writing it on the working unit. Please note: Both units need a voltage higher than 14V, thus the new DC/DC converter (FLX4.92) is necessary for programming.

A new protocol to work in OBD is now available in the latest software release of Flex (6.58.0.0).
Connecting to the diagnostic port of Porsche vehicles, you will have the possibility to program Bosch MG1CS047 engine units without the bother to remove the ECU from the vehicle: connect the OBD cable of Flex and download the virtual read from our database to unlock your unit. Broaden the driving experience of Porsche cars, optimize engine parameters quickly and safely. Moreover, thanks to the “Write Map and Code” feature, this new protocol enables writings also on Application SW, other than the calibration area.

Activation through Alientech Suite You can buy the DynoDrive application at any time, directly from Alientech Suite. With a guided and intuitive process, you can activate DynoDrive and use the function immediately: simply select the vehicle on which the test will be performed, set the necessary data for the calculation, and launch the test.
Calculation Accuracy The accuracy and repeatability of performance calculation are guaranteed by the pairing of the technology that KESS3 uses for communication with the vehicle (via OBD) and GPS acquisition.
Thanks to this system, DynoDrive allows for precise calculation of the vehicle’s position throughout the test, recording both the acceleration and deceleration phases for precise calculation of the dissipated power as well. Quick and Customized Parameter Selection DynoDrive allows for customizing parameters to achieve calculation precision as close to reality as possible.
You can input vehicle data such as: vehicle and passengers’ mass (including any tools and luggage) and fuel level.
Additionally, you can choose how to conduct the test by setting the starting engine RPM (1500/2000 rpm) and the gear in which you wish to perform the test (3rd/4th), to make the best use of available space and work in complete safety. All power test operations must be carried out only on a closed circuit or on a road not open to the public.
Test Repeatability With DynoDrive, you can repeat the test countless times, comparing the data from each individual test. Despite atmospheric factors, such as external temperature, potentially influencing the test result, you can repeat the test under the same conditions, one after another. This ensures the neutrality of the environmental factor: the data depend exclusively on the vehicle. Data Comparison and Sharing DynoDrive provides a downloadable and shareable report of torque and power data.
At the end of the test, the Dashboard automatically stores the torque and power values. In addition to numerical data, DynoDrive provides Cartesian graphs that can be compared by overlaying them to easily discern and compare curve differences at a glance. The software allows for comparing up to 3 tests simultaneously. To facilitate consultation, different colors and styles have been assigned to the curves of individual tests.
But that’s not all: the values along with the graphs recorded in Dashboard can be easily exported in a .PDF sheet, that can be shared with the customer to verify the effectiveness of the intervention or to meet their desires.

OBD Solutions for Nissan and Infiniti
